People often confuse the concepts of a VISA and a RESIDENCE PERMIT.
There are general differences in the validity period, the place of registration, the authority charged with the examination and, of course, in a global sense.
A visa is a permission document that people who have plans to travel abroad must obtain from the relevant institutions if the country they want to go to requests it. In most cases it is requested and accepted by the Embassy / Consulate of that country.
A visa is a permit to go to another country and stay there for a relatively short period of time. There are single, double and multiple visas. All of them do not exceed a total stay permit of 6 months per year.
The meaning of a visa is an exit permit and a short-term stay.
If there is a visa-free exit for foreign nationals in the country, they don't need to register before crossing the border. A visa is obtained to facilitate the trip.
In such cases, it is necessary to know how many days can be spent in the destination country without a long-term stay permit.
In most cases, a residence permit is requested from the Immigration Office located in the country of destination, and this issue is handled precisely by this department.
In case the residence permit application is rejected, it is possible to appeal to the Administrative Court against the refusal decision.
